I rebuilt my computer previously running Windows 7 to Windows 10. I am in the process of restoring the profiles for SBP and while they restore fine, I found this recommendation in one of the KBs...
For SyncBackPro & SyncBackSE, you should Force Rescan on any Fast Backup profiles, and Clear History on any sync profiles unless you are absolutely sure the contents of the new Source and Destination are already exactly the same on the new PC as they were on the old PC.
I think I have been looking at the screen too long. I'm hopeful that someone can tell me the steps to clear history of my now imported sync profiles.
You can clear the history of a sync profile under:
Modify Profile > Expert > Decision-Files > click on 'Clear History' button (which is the last option on that settings page)
However, as stated in that KB article you need to clear the history only when the Source and Destination paths on Windows 10 are not exactly same as Windows 7 PC.
Can you please export (select the profile from SyncBackPro main-window > right click > select Export Profile from the pop-up menu) and send your profile configuration to [email protected] to verify your settings?

I find myself in a similar situation to the original post. I've just done a clean install of Windows 11 and am restoring my Syncback profiles, noting the advise to clear the profile histories. I can view a profile history via: Modify > Simple > History, but I can't find any way to delete the history.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?

In the meantime I've discovered the following:
When looking at the history (Modify > Simple > History), there's a field at the bottom that allows you to set the maximum number history items to keep. This appears to be set at 50 by default (see attached screenshot 'History'). So I tried setting this to zero for one of my profiles and sure enough this cleared all the history items from the list, although it took a few minutes for them to all disappear. I then found that the History section of the options dialogue had disappeared completely (see screenshot 'No_History'). So I ran the profile a couple of times to see if this would rebuild the profile history but it did not.
The upshot of all this is that I've found a way to delete the history from a profile by setting the relevant parameter to zero (although this seems quite clumsy and I'm not convinced it's the most logical way to go about it) BUT I can't find a way to re-instate the profile history for subsequent runs. Help!
I would also like to make the following observation: there are at least two Knowledge Base articles that recommend clearing profile histories in particular circumstances, but there is no Knowledge Base article (that I can find) that describes how to do this. Seems to me to be an omission that should be brought to the attention of 2BrightSparks (I'm aware however of: "Do not expect 2BrightSparks to answer any question posted to this forum" and "2BrightSparks does not provide technical support via this forum").
Anyway, I'm still interested in hearing from anyone who has an insight into this issue.
