Even since the "time change" this past weekend (I am in Canada) - Syncback Pro is throw these messages on VERY select jobs on two machines:
I have checked Task Scheduler. Checked Syncback (relentlessly). Edited the schedule for this job and reentered my password at least 3 times.
Yet this job seems to think there is a problem - even tho it has been running for over 12 months without incident, change or edit.
Even this instance - error and all - still ran fine.
Have 16 other jobs in the cycle as well - ALL of them using the same general schedule and same user/PW and none of those has so much as shonw a single message.
Any ideas what is causing this?

What exactly is going on with this error message?

Re: What exactly is going on with this error message?
There is a GLOBAL setting in Syncback for all profiles that you can set in order to not be prompted again for when Windows can't get it right. The task did run as you said and this is really just a Windows notification problem.
"The date & time is when the scheduler was supposed to run the profile but it did not. Keep in mind that the scheduler may succeed in running it at a later time (while this window is being displayed), but this will not be reflected in this window (i.e. it is not updated). You can then investigate why the profile was not run by the Windows Task Scheduler (click the Help button for details). If you never want to be prompted again then you can tick the Do not prompt me again checkbox. This can be reset on the Expert settings page in Global Settings."

While I do appreciate the update - this still does not answer the question about "why" it occurs.mmullins_98 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 10:53 amThere is a GLOBAL setting in Syncback for all profiles that you can set in order to not be prompted again for when Windows can't get it right. Also - in my initial screencap - if you really look at the error message that SyncBack is popping up - you will notice that the date in the message (highlighted by the "1") is actually for the day BEFORE (3/9/2025) and yet and the actual Task Manager screenshot (2) clearly shows that the job ran fine ON 3/10/2025 - the same three minute span when I took the screenshot.
Then - judging by the Syncback documentation - I am supposed to go into Task Scheduler and do this:
Which is a dead end because there is no error logged in Task scheduler. Matter of fact - I cannot find any evidence of anything going wrong with this job - or any job.
And yes - I understand I can simply turn these messages off globally - but that takes this in the opposite direction - IF there is an actual real issue with some scheduler job - if this is off - I will never know about it - which is not ideal.

Understood - this item is already clearly in the forum - so your requirement above appears to make a support ticket pointless.mmullins_98 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 9:57 pmPlease do not post the same question to the forum and also via a support ticket.
