Backblaze B2?
Any plans on adding support for Backblaze's new cloud option?
https://www.backblaze.com/b2/cloud-storage.html
Looks like they are touting a robust API for third party apps to hook into it.

Re: Backblaze B2?
Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. Currently there are a lot of cloud services out there and unfortunately they're all different which means we need to spend some considerable time adding each one. At this time we've no plans to add Backblaze (that doesn't mean we never will, but at this time it's not on the list).
Thanks,
Kostas

Re: Backblaze B2?
does Syncback have any "plugin" type architecture that might allow a third party to write a plugin to support serviced like B2cloud?
Just curious. I've been using both Syncback (for local backups to a NAS drive) and Backblaze (to back up things offsite) and both work very very well.
Seeing the B2Cloud service finally come online is a great thing. Combining the two would be even better.
Wonder if B2Cloud could support SFTP.... I'll have to ask.

I'd second the option for BackBlaze B2 support too.

Thirded. The price is so low that it's very attractive for deep storage.

Re: Backblaze B2?
it would be extremely innovative and legendary if Backblaze and CrashPlan are added to the cloud backup list, although I think crashplan encrypt its data before backing up. and I do understand how hard it is to impliment such features since it require getting permissions from the other service admins etc, I'm currently using google Drive but at 10$ per 1TB a month it's abit too much.

Hi,
There is some work in progress on BackBlaze B2 but it is too early to say when it will be completed. Any news regarding this will be announced via the forum and the website.

Great to hear! We are using S3 but will move over to Backblaze as soon as it's available since it's 1/4 the price. Thanks!

Kostas, is there any update on when Backblaze's B2 will be added? It's a great storage provider with very reasonable rates. Perfect for home users on a budget.

Backblaze B2 support will be included in the upcoming SyncBackPro V8 which is planned to be released in the first half of 2017. Before the official release a beta version should become available as well.
All these will be announced publicly in due course.
Thanks,
Kostas
