Azure Cloud only supports "classic" storage accounts

Post by wyldbill »

Azure has a new category of storage service, which is resource group based. The still support the "classic" storage account.

The new style accounts have some new capabilities including "cool" storage. "Cool" storage is a bit similar to Amazon's Galcier service."Cool" Storage access is slower and has a lower SLA, but costs 50% of what the standard storage costs.

I'd really prefer to use the "new" storage, for this and many reasons.

When Syncback tries to access a "new" storage account, it does not send the correct HTTP headers, resulting in a 400 error.

Support SAS (Shared Access Signatures) for security would also be a bonus.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. We're aware of these new features and they are already in our to-do list. For the time being we have no fixed date on when these will be available.

Thanks,
Kostas
