After using SyncBackFree for a while now (and loving it), I purchased SyncBackPro for a couple of business clients running Windows Server. It works very well except for one issue. Apparently if I schedule a job, the log file cannot be displayed/created. I assume this is by design because when looking through the help file (searching for Log Settings), I found this note:
Note: when the profile is run via a schedule, and Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or newer is being used, then the log may not be displayed. This is due to security changes introduced in Windows Vista (basically when SyncBackFree is run from a schedule it cannot interact with the user interface).
One particular client is running Windows Server 2008, and the only way for him to know if a scheduled job is run successfully is if he looks for "Success" as a result of the last run backup job. If it says "Failure", there is no log for him to look at to let him know what exactly failed.
Please tell me there is a way around this, because this could be a deal breaker for a number of other people I can recommend this program to.
Thank you.

Re: Display log after scheduled job
Hi,
You can always view the latest log for a profile by selecting the profile in SyncBack and then pressing Ctrl-L or right-click on the profile and select View Log from the popup menu. The popup menu solution also allows the user to view older logs.
Thanks,
Kostas

Re: Display log after scheduled job
Sorry to activate an old post, but I was still looking for an answer to this problem because the issue has come up again. Very simply, on scheduled/unattended jobs, there is no log available to be viewed, it doesn't create one. I can run a manual job and it will create a log every time, but on scheduled jobs, a log is never created.
Ctrl-L (or accessing it from the menu) will only bring up a log on manually run jobs.
It says that this is the case in the program's own help file, but I was just wondering if there is any way around this?
Thank you.
