Scheduled tasks will not run anymore (Win10)

Post by ArnoR »

Hi there,
About two weeks! ago I discovered that my backup tasks will not run anymore.
I have various tasks and it worked alright for years. All of a sudden it fails.
The tasks will run manual as before. No problem, but scheduled NO...

The error message is something like 'You don't have the necessary permissions...'
I am using SyncbackSE PRO version V6.5.49.0 and Windows 10.
I do suspect the Windows anniversary update but I am not certain about this...

I tried to delete the task and make a new one, I modified the tasks and such but no luck...
In the task it also 'says' that the task will be executed as another user?? Huh... I am the one user of this PC...
Screendump (in Dutch) attached
What can I do??

Hi,

We have identified and fixed this issue in SyncBackSE/Pro V7.

You can refer to the change history of SyncBackPro/SE here:

http://www.2brightsparks.com/syncback/changes.html

So, you may have to upgrade to V7 to resolve your issue.

If you wish you can evaluate SyncBackPro/SE V7 which we offer a free 30-days evaluation period. Before you upgrade to SyncBack V7, please read the last section of this article (Re: "I am using V5/V6 but would like to try V7....") to backup a copy of your profiles to ensure you have a backup in case of mishaps.

http://support.2brightsparks.com/knowle ... 7-upgrades

You can download a copy of SyncBackPro/SE V7 from here:

http://www.2brightsparks.com/downloads.html

If you wish to upgrade to SyncBackPro/SE V7 please visit the 2BrightSparks Upgrade Store where you will need to enter your serial number into the text field and click on "Validate" button:

http://www.2brightsparks.com/store/upgradestore.php

And follow the onscreen prompts to pay for your upgrade.

Thank you.

Thanks for your extended reply.
I understand that the problem can't be solved while using Version 6?
In that case I will upgrade to 7.

I did read something about improved performance with mail backups.
Does that apply to all mail clients? I am using Thunderbird

Hi,

The "Backup Email" feature in SyncBackPro supports backing-up email messages stored on POP3, IMAP4 or Microsoft Exchange Server. You can refer to this KB article for more details:

http://support.2brightsparks.com/knowle ... l-messages

As stated in above article, "Email Backups are one directional which means you cannot restore emails back to your email server using SyncBackPro. However, you can import EML files into your email client if you have accidentally deleted your email, or if your email message is corrupted etc."

Also, you can enable the option "Perform a fast backup of emails" under:

Modify > Expert > Fast Backup settings page

to improve the performance of the backup of emails. However, this option is only available when a profile is configured to backup emails from IMAP4 or Microsoft Exchange email servers.

Please read the help file for more details about this option. With Fast Backup settings page opened, press F1 to open the contextual help.

Thank you.
