Reduce "Scanning Amazon Drive" time

Post by JPN »

Hi

I have noticed that profiles that uploads to Amazon Drive takes extremely long in the "Scanning Amazon Drive" step if uploading to a folder with lots of files and subdirectories.

I believe that this can be optimized in certain scenarios. For example,

Source = C:/photos/new_folder
Destination (Amazon Drive) = /photos/new_folder

In this case, SyncBackPro still recursively scans through all contents under /photos, instead of just checking if /new_folder exists and then scanning it instead.

Is there a way in v7.6.50 to change this behaviour? As is it takes 2 hours to scan all the other directories even if /new_folder does not even exists.

Thanks for any feedback.

Jaco

Hi,

To better assist you, please submit a support zip with debug logs of the scan phase. Enable Output debug information from Preferences menu and run the profile in manual mode (ctrl + R). When the Differences Window is displayed abort the profile run and submit the support zip as per the instructions given here:

http://support.2brightsparks.com/knowle ... ation-file

If your Zip is over 30MB, contact us for alternate instructions, advising the actual size. Do not try to attach to the ticket!

Do not post (nor links to) Support Zips on this open forum.

Thank you.

Thank you for the response.

Turns out it was an user error as my path selected for Amazon was not deep enough. I had the setup like this:

Source: d:/pictures/folderA
Destination: /pictures

Instead of destination set to /pictures/folderA.

I guess the confusion came from thinking it would copy the source folder to the destination folder, not everything in the source folder into the destination folder.

Thanks for the support, no need for a ticket on this one.
