Backups to .zip files

Post by wardl »

I've been backing up some folders to a .zip file (1 for -all- files) and notice that the .zip file is 1. -updated- (keeping some files that were deleted from the source) rather than -replaced- and 2. the .zip file retains its old date, not 'todays date' of which a few files would have. I tried to search for this seemingly common problem but your search app keeps telling me I've entered 'too simple' of a query with 'zip' 'compress' etc.

Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing that can delete the .zip file before the backup or must I create a .bat file and run it before the backup?

Just noticed cause of #2 as windows explorer in my new PC was showing 'Date' instead of 'Date modified' and I never noticed!

Hi,

Please submit a support zip with debug logs for investigation. Full instructions to create and submit a support zip are given here:

If your Zip is over 30MB, contact us for alternate instructions, advising the actual size. Do not try to attach to the ticket!

Thank you.
