How to "kickstart" Google Drive after speed reduces

Post by santiagodraco »

I'm using Google Drive currently for cloud backups and I'm having an issue that I don't know how to address.

I'm copying some large backup files, anywhere from 5 to 100GB (starting to limit those backup files to 25GB going forward) from Acronis True Image. Sometimes GD will go from the normal 2.5MB/s speed I cap out at to about 575KB/s. The problem is if this is during a large file transfer I cannot stop/restart the profile in order to bump the speed back up without killing that file upload and having to start again.

Is there a way to bump the speed back up to normal somehow in the middle of a transfer?
