Fix for Multiple Connections To A Shared Resource Errors

Post by ttist25 »

Hey guys,

I just wanted to do a quick post of a solution I came up with for that annoying "Multiple Connections to a server or shared resource by the same user" error you get when running multiple profilesfrom MS.
Here's a quick rundown of my environment:
  • SyncBack Pro 7.something
  • Windows 2008 R2 File Server (the backup file source) 192.168.1.2
  • TurnKeyLinux FIleServer Appliance (for the backup destination) 192.168.1.3
  • A group profile with multiple jobs beneath it
  • Right/Destinations of \\192.168.1.3\storage\X.zip
To solve the Multiple Connections issue I created a .bat file with the following content:

Code: Select all

net use /delete \\192.168.1.3\storage
net use /delete \\192.168.1.3\IPC$
I add that to the "Programs - Before" option of each job and it's good to go.

Hope that helps someone!

The subject should be "Fix for Multiple Connections To a Share Resource Errors" not "Fi for" I don't think I can edit the post.
