I've gone through the steps outlined in "Help" for creating a container a number of times. I must be missing something as this is the result each and every time:

Re: Creating Containers
Hello Homer712,
you need to set a source and a destination path. If you want to backup to a SyncBack
container (destination), you have to use die variable %CONTAINERMOUNT% as destination.

Can you please show me the "Syncback Container" form ?To use a container, in your source or destination, you must use a variable (%CONTAINERMOUNT%).
You can also use this variable in Run Before, Run After, etc. When the profile is run the variable is replaced
by the mount point (where the container is mounted in Windows, e.g. a drive letter).

Re: Creating Containers
I'LL need to do this in steps (number of replies). First, because I've taken more screen shots that one can load at a time, and second, because I'm not quite sure what it is that will help you see what I'm doing incorrectly.

Re: Creating Containers
One last question, just curious if after getting the "success" box when creating many containers and then not being able to use them in the profile, do I now have a bunch of "invisible" SyncBack containers somewhere on my system, and if so, how do I find them to be able to delete them?

Re: Creating Containers
Hello Homer712,
thank you for the detailed screenshots.
Please try the following:
- Check the Box "Completely format the container" in die "Size" dialog.
- You need to enter a path in the "Container Storage" box. I don't now,
where the test container will be stored. Please try the following path for
the test: "C:\Users\Homer\Desktop\Test_Container.sbc". The container
will be stored on your desktop, so you can see it there and delete it after
the test.
- You need to declate a free drive letter in "Mounting Point" e.G.: G:\
I have forgot this, too. Please see here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12901

Re: Creating Containers
I've found the path for the container files, when no path is specified.
Please see at the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\2BrightSparks\SyncBackPro
for the container files.

Re: Creating Containers
Working perfectly, thank you! Also found the "unused" containers, all eleven of them! Thank you for that push in the right direction as well.
One last question. I had previously posted a question about being able to have SyncBack Pro automatically limit the size of a backup (say when using either Dropbox or Google Drive). My trying to create "containers" was an attempt to accomplish this (you can limit the size of the container) although I don't know (haven't tried yet) if containers can be used with backups to cloud services.

Re: Creating Containers
Fine, you are welcome
I think you can use one thing at the same time. Cloud services or Containers,
but not both. A container file with a fixed size can limit the backup storage. But,
if the container space is full, the backup will fail when there is no more free space.
If you still want to use a container and a cloud service, you can create a second profile
to copy the container file to a cloud service, but it will copy the hole thing (always),
because the container is one single file. If the cloud software detects a change, it will
copy the complete "file" to the cloud storage.
To bypass this, you can additional use another backup software at the 2nd place to copy
only the changed parts of the container file (incremental backup).
*not sure if i can write the name of the software here without getting any penalty*
