Renaming Folders - Behavior during sync?

Post by 2ylite »

Use Case: Keeping folders in sync.

Source folder name: "Pictures" (e.g. contains 50GB of files)

Renaming the source folder to "Pictures-01".

Target drive still has the original folder named "Pictures"

Question: During sync, will SyncBack simply rename the target folder, or will it re-copy all the same files?

My mistake...

it's not "sync". I meant "mirror"

I just ran a test, and it appears that if I rename a folder in the source drive, it will delete the old folder (and contents) on the mirrored drive, then proceed to copy the entire (newly) renamed folder to the mirrored drive.
