I have found OneDrive to be consistently slowest upload

Post by LaryW »

I've been comparing "retail" versions of cloud storage - Amazon Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, BackBlaze 2 - and have found OneDrive to be the slowest upload speeds of all.

My tests are very unscientific- I backup selected folders to an encrypted zip file with Backup4All to a local drive and then use SyncBackPro to send to the services. So far all have beaten OneDrive no matter the size of the file. File sizes vary between 16mb to 1.5gb.

Anyone else noticed this too?

I'll second that. Based strictly on my own (also unscientific) trials I have found that OneDrive seems the slowest, while Box and Dropbox are consistently the fastest. I'm currently using Box for both my PC and Apple iMac backups. My only regret is that SyncBack has not been ported over to Apple's OSX.
