Hi,
Is it possible create a profile that will not scan the destination?
The reason is that I have an external drive which is very slow and scanning it takes days. The files I will be copying are all brand new files, which do not exist on the external drive. All SyncBackPro needs to do is remember which files it copied to the external drive, so as not to copy them a second time.
Thanks very much.

Re: Is it possible create a profile that will not scan the destination?
Hi,
To avoid destination scanning, please enable Fast Backup option in your profile and never force a re-scan. You can enable Fast Backup under:
Modify > Expert > Fast Backup > Perform a Fast Backup
When this option is enabled, SyncBackPro from run#2 onwards, scans the source against fast backup database (updated in the previous run) to detect file differences and copies only new/changed files from source to destination (but it won’t scan the destination location unless it is force-rescan or first run after Fast Backup mode is enabled).
Please read these articles for more details on Fast Backup:

Thank you.

Re: Is it possible create a profile that will not scan the destination?
Hi,
Yes, but it will still scan the destination the first time it runs. Which is my problem.
The external drive is in my neighbours home 1 1/2 miles away. I backup to a hard disk at his home and he backs up to a hard disk at mine. Well we would if we can get past the first scan.

Hi,
Currently, it's not possible. However, I will pass your request to the relevant department for consideration.
