Syncback scans excluded Dropbox folders

Post by spalan »

Hi everybody,

I have set up a backup directly from my dropbox (in the cloud) to a local drive. I have selected a few folders and deselected many others, but SyncBack still seems to scan all foldes (even those I have excluded) when trying to determine what to synchronize/backup. This of course costs a lot of time. Is this normal behavior? If I exclude an entire folder, should Syncback not refrain from scanning it in order to save time and bandwidth?

Stefan.

This seems to be a similar problem as in viewtopic.php?f=15&t=13281, by the way.

Hi,

Can you please un-tick the option 'Retrieve a list of all the files and folders then filter (faster in most situations)' under:

Modify > Expert > Cloud > Advanced page

and run the profile again to see if it resolve your issue?

Thank you.

Hi Swapna,

Thanks, I think that will do the trick!
