Hi,
We would want a suggestion about settings on a bi-directional sync task.
In detail we would want propagate the file's deletions, so that if a file exists in the left/right container but does not exist in the right/left container it will be copied, BUT if the same file will be subsequently deleted (eg. the next day) in the left/right container it will be deleted in the right/left container.
We have a commercial SyncBackPro Ver. 8.2.11 (2017).
Thanks for help.

Re: File deletion in sync task
Hi,
An Intelligent Sync profile in SyncBackPro supports two-way synchronization between Source and Destination locations. The default settings of an Intelligent sync profile copies new/changed files from left to right (or right and left), and deletes a file from one side (left/right) if it is deleted from the opposite side. Please read the help file for more details about Intelligent sync profile in SyncBackPro.

Note that the version of SyncBackPro you are using is outdated. Please download and install the latest version from our downloads page:
https://www.2brightsparks.com/download-syncbackpro.html
Do not uninstall and reinstall, or you'll lose your profiles & settings. Just install 'over the top'.
Thank you

However I keeps on havig a doubt: in a synchronization i want that a file deleted (on LEFT or RIGHT no matter where) was erased on other side also, right ?
Ok, the first option is, for example: "What to do if a file exists on left but no on rights", in this situation we can have two options:
1) the file is NEW CREATED on LEFT -> i need that the file is COPIED on RIGHT
2) the file DELETE on RIGHT -> i need that the file is DELETED on LEFT
I would want that the program can distinguish the option below, but the only options are:
a) Copy file to right
b) Move file to right
c) Delete file from left
d) Prompt me (not an option because the task is automatic)
e) Do nothing
and no one seems to be a valid option.

Thank you for offer, but i need only a clarification about the configuration of SyncBackPro in the scenario below:
IF a file is NEW CREATED on LEFT -> i need that the file is COPIED on RIGHT
IF a file is DELETED on RIGHT -> i need that the file is DELETED on LEFT
the options above in a syncronization task (LEFT/RIGHTS directions are interchangeable).
If SyncBackPro can manage that situation (for example GoodSync can) I need only a suggestion about how to implement it.

Perhaps the answer is in teh "Enable versioning" option ?alexbromo wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 10:45 amHi,Swapna wrote: ↑Sun May 27, 2018 8:11 amHi,

Re: File deletion in sync task
I solved the problem: the answer was in differences between "Basic" and "Intelligent Sync".
I converted my "Basic Sync" task in an "Intelligent Sync" task and all useful setting has been appeared !
