SyncBackPro Debug History file

Post by jgt »

Quite some time ago I remember setting up to capture the SyncBackPro Debug History, but I have no idea where I got the information from and cannot find the info again. Following is the contents of one of the files in the Debug History folder.

15:17:00=Settings Filename:C:\Users\jgt\AppData\Local\2BrightSparks\SyncBackPro\Settings.ini
15:17:00=Versions Folder:R:\_TempWork\SB Debug History\
15:17:12=BgBackup.TBgBackup.WatchForChanges.1192:RealTime-Sync Code2OutlookCategories.txt to S-CommonSharec-Code2OutlookCategories.txt - (Local to S4) [C:\CommonShare\]
15:17:13=BgBackup.TBgBackup.WatchForChanges.1206:RealTime-Sync Code2OutlookCategories.txt to S-CommonSharec-Code2OutlookCategories.txt - (Local to S4) [S:\CommonShare\]
18:44:41=BgBackup.TBgBackup.Destroy.182
18:44:42=BgBackup.TBgBackup.Destroy.208
18:44:42=BgBackup.TBgBackup.Destroy.225
18:44:42=---:LOG FILE CLOSED [04/11/18 18:44:42]
**** End of file (this line is not part of the file, I added it just to ID the end of the file. Most of the files are larger and a few are huge.
I just checked and the folder is now almost 350GB with 10,726 text files adn only goes back three months.
  1. Do I really need the folder?
  2. If I should keep the folder is there any way to automatically trim the files in the folder? E.G. Do I really need to keep 3 months?
  3. If I should NOT keep the folder, how do I turn it off?

Hi,

The debug history option stores all the debug logs in a selected directory. This is mainly used by our technical team to debug problems with SyncBack. If your issue is resolved then you can manually delete the debug history folder and turn it off from:

Help > Technical Support Wizard > right click on the Technical Support window > select ‘History Folder’ from pop-up menu > and click on ‘Cancel’ button when selecting a folder.

Thank you.

Much thanks for the feedback, I've turned off the creation (greatly appreciate the how-to instructions) and deleted the folder.
