I've recently updated SynckBackFree to the latest version, now I can't backup anymore to my remote NAS (WD My CLoud).
When I try to start my profiles, I have a Network failure error saying that my password is invalid. My NAS is not protected with a password, I can access it via Windows Explorer without any issue. Meanwhile, If I open a profile settings and I try to modify the destination, I can no longer find any network device.
Basically, SynckBack cannot read anymore from my Network folder. What Can I do? I have large data to backup actually, I really rely on this awesome software.
How can I solve it?
Thanks

Re: Can't backup to network device
Hello,
thank you for your reply. This didn't solve my problem, I have SyncBAck Free and I tried to change the registry entry and start the software with and without admin rights, nothing changed. SB doesn't see my network devices. It has always worked smoothness in my configuration, this happened after I updated the software. What else can I do? If I can't find a solution I have to find another backup software because I have huge data that I need to back up. Any help will be really appreciated.

Re: Can't backup to network device
Hi,
Have you tried connecting to the network drive using UNC paths instead of mapped drive? If not, please enter the UNC paths (\\HostName\ShareName\ or \\IPAddress\ShareName\) in the destination location (under: Modify > Simple page) and enter the credentials to connect to your network drive (if required) under:
Modify > Expert > Network settings page
to see if it helps?
You can also enable the option 'Use the supplied username and password before trying my current username and password' under:
Modify > Expert > Network > Advanced settings page
Please read the footnotes provided in the Help > Expert > Network settings page to understand and try the different ways of entering the username credential in the username field and use the "Test Connection" button available in the Network settings page to ensure the connection works as expected before running the profile.
Thank you

Re: Can't backup to network device
Thank you very much, this solved my problem! I entered my IP instead of WDMYCLOUD and now I can see my network device again. Thank you!
