I have an 8TB I mirror to and move offsite. I have some files that were backed up a long time ago and would like to make sure they are still "OK".
I saw that the new version 8 has an integrity check...and thought that sounded like what I wanted and upgraded today.
Quick question.... Will integrity check generate the hash on all the current source files and then verify the destination for ALL files on first run?
Thanks!

Re: Integrity check
I think after playing around a little I answered my own question. It seems that Integrity Check will not work with an existing backup and compare source to destination. Sort of a verify after the fact while creating the database.
Can anyone give any guidance on how best to "start over" besides delete and re-copy. Ugh!!

Re: Integrity check
Hi,
1. Modify Profile > Copy/Delete > Integrity Check > tick the options ‘Enable file integrity recording for destination/right’ and ‘Calculate the file integrity for files that have none’. Save the profile
2. Run the profile to create the Integrity database
3. Select the profile > right click > choose ‘Integrity Check’ from the pop-up menu to check the integrity of destination files
For additional details on Integrity Check and Verification, please read this article:

Thank you.

Re: Integrity check
Thanks for the response.
Will this method create the hash from the destination only without verification from the source? I want to make sure ALL the current destination files match the current source.
If the process just creates a current hash of the destination and adds that to the DB... I don't know if the current backup is valid or not.
My initial backup did not have verify set. So can I use the "integrity check" as a re-check?
