May I ask a question here that's important for me? It's about a good "Backup Retention Policy" feature (version control / versioning):
I have tested so many backup programs in the past including SyncBackPro that I purchased, and I have noticed time and again that versioning is not well done with most backup programs. I have no idea why that is so. I found only CrashPlan (who have unfortunately discontinued their service) and the open source backup program "Duplicacy" who have really great "Backup Retention Policy" features (version control / versioning).
Do you have an explanation why this IMHO so important feature is so neglected by most backup programs?
Thank you!
