The most common "restore" I do is a single file accidentally deleted by a user. This means changing the "action" in the differences window to "Skip" for all files, then selecting just the one file I wish to restore.
The sequence Cntrl+A, then right-click, opens a context window of actions, but "Skip" is missing. The work-around is to select only non-skipped files, then change their action to "Skip". This is tedious when there are hundreds of files in the list.
I would like SyncBack to display the "Change to Skip" option in the context menu regardless if there are already skipped items in the selection.

This seems more like a bug than a feature. Would you consider back porting the fix to Version 8?

Unfortunately, technical support and updates for Pro/SE V8 is officially ended on December 1st 2019, hence the fix is only in V9.
If you wish to upgrade to the latest SyncBack V9 license please visit the 2BrightSparks Upgrade Store:
