I really messed up. Source drive was empty when profile ran and I deleted my backup as well

Post by tjlmbklr1 »

Long story short I manually wiped my source drive, got preoccupied and never restored the backup. My profile runs once a week and I completely lost track of time. When it ran it saw no source so there for it made the destination empty as well.

This was about 150Gb of files ranging from music, to all the installation files I have collected over the years among many other important files. If it matters that source drive was an external usb drive.

I have tried a couple recover programs that run for a very long time and fine a bunch of random files but none of it seems to be what I need. Is there anything I can do?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Have you enabled Versioning in your profile configuration? If yes, you can restore/rollback your files from versions. Please read "How To Restore From Version Files" article for the procedure to restore from versions:

Alternatively, if you can try 'UndeleteOnClick' utility to recover deleted files. However, we can't guarantee that it can recover all your deleted files.

Thank you.
