File Server Migrations

Post by ajpion »

I am running the trial version of SyncBackPro with the hope I will be purchasing the product. The reason I'm looking into the software is to migrate file shares from a NetApp filer to a NAS.

I was wondering if there is a method of setting the source to accept a .csv file that defines all my shares on the server i want to migrate. Setting the destination is pretty straightforward.

If i simply set the source as \\FileServer1\ the profile will not connect to the source server because i don't have a shared folder defined. I want to migrate all shares at once. If the shares can be read from a .CSV or .txt file like Robocopy can, this would make synchronization or mirroring so much easier than setting up profiles for every share. Some file servers have hundreds of shares.

Hi,

The feature you requested is not supported in SyncBackPro. However, we will pass your request on to our development department for their review.

Thank you
