possible to truncate first first 8 chars of file when moving it?

Post by marklyn »

I use PlayOn to download an occasional TV show to a specific folder and have SBP set up to 'watch' that folder and copy anything new (then delete) to another folder on my Plex server. The shows always download from PlayOn with a 7 number + underscore prefix (ie: 1234567_) and then the show name, season/episode number. Plex doesn't do metadata on the file until I manually remove the first 8 characters leaving the show name and the season and episode number.
Is there a way I can have SBP copy the filename over without the first 8 characters (or strip them in a rename command after)?
