Want to connect to Android via USB not Wifi

Post by sl33py »

Hi,
Just starting to use this software.. very promising. I've bought Syncbackpro, run Win11 and have a Pixel 7 running Android 15.

I've got it connected via WiFi and have setup a profile with all the things I'd like to backup. However, I don't want to use wifi to move this kind of amount of data - I only want to use the USB connection.

Where and how can I make it use USB instead of Wifi? I'm not seeing this option anywhere (neither in Touch, nor on the laptop).

Thanks in advance/sorry for the dumb Q.

Hi,

To back up files to or from your Android device connected to the PC running SyncBackPro, kindly create a Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) profile. For more information about MTP, please refer to the article "Files Transmission Using Media Transfer Protocol:
https://www.2brightsparks.com/resources ... tocol.html

Additionally, please note that SyncBackPro supports backing up files and folders created by the user or those accessible to the user on your device, such as photos, music, and videos. However, it does not support backing up system files, calendars, contacts, or operating system files due to access restrictions.

Thank you
