restore a Mirror backup

Post by SBF_User »

I'm been running a 32bit SyncbackSE V8.5.122.0 for several yrs. I also own a newer version but Ver 8 has worked so well haven't needed to install the newer purchase.
All of my Sync backups are Mirror, I don't do any two way sync. I want exactly what's on the source to go on the destination drive, nothing less nothing more and SyncbackSE mirror does that faster than other types of backups.
* Soon I may have to restore a mirror and I'm a bit apprehensive as to how that plays out.
* My question is: My backup Profile has mirror settings, so if I select restore from the profile menu, will it mirror everything in reverse?
* In other words everything on the destination drive path will be mirrored to the original source path (matching the dest)?
* Or is there some questions or settings I've got to be prepared for when this happens?

You can see what it is going to do by right clicking on one of your Mirror profiles and selecting "Simulated Restore".

Just saw this thread, can you please tell me when I restore from a mirror backup in SyncbackSE, will it mirror everything from the destination drive back to the source, and are there any settings I need to consider beforehand?
