Hi,
I use a Sync profile for a large development folder that contains 200K+ files which are tiny, I only need to sync with 3 devices (PC -> NAS - > LAPTOP) but the process is pretty slow 1-2 minutes....
The setup is m2 SSD on PC and Laptop, gigabit network to NAS.
Not all the files change so comparison of the lot every-time isn't very efficient, the NAS will always be the central data point and the software I use cannot use files over UNC paths so it needs to create a local copy on the PC and laptop (of the changed files). Its almost like the NAS should have some form of database so the sync clients know whats changed and what they have, is this possible or is there a better way to setup SyncBack to do this more efficiently ?

Re: Slow, large number of files Sync
Hi,
The sync profile in SyncBackSE (Pro or Lite versions) is strictly a two-way comparison process (A-to-B, B-to-A). We do not recommend users to sync to multiple devices as unwanted overwrites/deletes on files could easily occur if a strict running order sequence is not met. Therefore, I suggest sending a support ticket to [email protected] for the important points to consider when using a multi-way sync profile.
Thank you.
