Will SBSE back up an IMAP .ost file while Outlook is running, or do I need to close the program first?
Thanks

Re: Backing up Outlook IMAP .ost file
Hi,
SyncBackSE supports copying open/locked OST files while Outlook is running. However, it requires the Windows Volume Shadow-Copy Service (VSS) to be working on your PC, and the pre-requisites for using VSS are satisfied:
https://help.2brightsparks.com/support/ ... 3000335703
As we leverage on VSS to copy open/locked files, it would require SyncBackSE to be installed on the same PC system that the open/locked files are stored (one of VSS's requirements). So, please test to see if it works?
Thank you.

Re: Backing up Outlook IMAP .ost file
OK thanks.
I am looking now at the version comparison page https://www.2brightsparks.com/syncback/compare.html
and the last item in the Supported Protocol section is "Backup Emails" and it says that only SyncBackPro can do this.
What does this refer to?
Thanks
