I'm running a very old version of SE (4.2.4.0) and I am using a UNC path in one profile destination and need to add credentials to make it work. Is this feature only available in newer versions, or only in the Pro version? I think there is supposed to be some Expert/Network setting but I don't see it.

The settings page to add network credentials is supported in SyncBackPro/SE/Free V9 versions. You can add the credentials under:
Modify profile > Expert > Network settings page
