Copy files with Windows but SyncBack copies again

Post by dkump »

I have a new USB drive where I want to backup my files using SyncBack. The drive is empty. I have a large number of files, so I first copy the files from my source to the USB drive using Windows copy command (File explorer, copy/paste). I then run my SyncBack profile and it sees differences and copies all files again. The dates/times appear the same. I'm not doing a fast backup and not doing safe copies. I don't ignore file size or modification date/time. I do ignore creation date/time, DST changes, last access, and 2 seconds or less difference. I can't figure out why SyncBack is copying the same file over itself. Any idea what I should change in my profile that would fix this? Thanks.

Hi,

Please test with SyncBackSE V10.2.88.0 version and see if it works. If the problem persists submit a support ticket to [email protected] for assistance.

Thank you
