Meta Datas

Post by miramanee »

Hello Community! 8)

I found SyncBack while searching for this type of software and installed the freeware to test it first. I always buy full versions after I have tested them.

The program seems to be quite useful. However, I noticed that the software does not compare two folders correctly. They contain video files. Although the name and size are the same, some files in the header of the target folder have been destroyed. So Windows no longer recognizes that they are video files. They are not resynchronized because SyncBackFree obviously does not compare metadata in the files.

My question now is: Can the Pro version do this? In my opinion, it wouldn't make sense to spend a lot of money on the Pro version if it can't do this either. For me, it is inherently important that the files are actually compared. Including all header data. Otherwise a purchase would be pointless.

Important: I have read the note that support does not answer questions here. However, support does not do this either. I have already requested this twice. Either the support is not interested or they are embarrassed to have to answer that this simple function is not included in any version.

yes.. pro compare metadata in files and provide more comprehensive file comparison than syncback free.
