Forum search too limited

Post by santiagodraco »

I tried to search on "Schedule" and it returned an error saying the word was too "common". Please lessen the restriction on search terms as terms like Schedule while common... are just that common. So are words like "V7".

Hi,

I would suggest using Google when searching keywords on the forum and/or our site in general. You can use the site:2brightsparks.com along with your keywords, e.g. schedule site:2brightsparks.com. It's much more efficient this way. 8)

Thanks,

While I appreciate the suggestion I personally hate using Google search for searching forums. The built in forum search is much more user friendly.

Why is the search broken in the forums here? I just tried searching for "group" and it also returned a "too common" error. Never had this kind of problem on other forums.

Well...I take back what I said in my previous post. I hate google search when it's embedded in a site (results are convoluted) but using your suggestion of searching in Google (group site:2brightsparks.com) worked great.

Still wish your search function worked though! :)
