User Aborted?

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

User Aborted?

Post by cbiweb »

My backups start running at 12:01AM every day. I'm in bed way before that, yet for the past few days when I open SyncBack to check the backups, I find that it was aborted as soon as it started. The error message says "User aborted".

Any idea why this happens? How can it be user aborted if I wasn't there to abort it?

As far as my knowledge, I think the User aborted error in SyncBack might happen if the scheduled task is set up wrong, if your computer goes to sleep, or if something like an antivirus scan interrupts it. It can also occur if the backup drive or network isn't available. To fix this, check the task settings, make sure your computer stays awake, confirm the drives are connected, and update SyncBack.
Thank You
