Planning a Group's tasks ?

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Planning a Group's tasks ?

Post by Zorgloub »

As a new user of SyncBackFree, which I have just installed on Win7-64bit, I have a few questions!
If you could lift the veil of my uncertainties, I would be very grateful.

1_ I have created two profiles for my various files created on disks D and E, in "Mirror" mode, which I have combined into a "Save D & E" Group.
Here I'm wondering about scheduling.

I want a "Mirror" operation every morning at 09:00 in "When user is logged in" mode.
Question: Should this job schedule be specified :
A_ Only in the group settings?
B_ In each profile AND in the group settings?
If the latter, isn't there overlap / duplication?

2_ How do you back up the configuration of the Windows installation and the installed programs, all of which are located on C:/ (for immediate recovery and "reinstallation" in the event of a C drive crash)?
SynBackFree seems to refuse to "copy" open and active files... at least in "Mirror" mode.
Should I simply configure a "Backup" mode to save C: (Windows, various drivers and installed programs)?

Thank you for your help.
Best regards
