SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

When I started to create a schedule, it said I need my Windows password, but also asked if I'd like to remove that restriction. I said yes.

And then it still wanted a password.

So I entered the password for my MS Outlook account (which it specified I should use), but it wouldn't accept it.

How can I can get this to work?

I'm running a fresh install of the latest version of SyncBackFree, after a Windows 11 reinstall.

The REMOVE RESTRICTION only applies if you do not have a password to login to Windows.

On Windows, by default, you are not allowed to use blank/empty passwords when scheduling tasks. If this is the case on your installation of Windows then a prompt will appear asking you if you would like the restriction removed (no prompt is given if the restriction has already been removed):
Click Yes to remove the restriction. If your Windows login password is blank/empty, and this restriction is not removed, then your scheduled task will fail to run.

The password needed is what you enter when you start windows, a pin(if you login with one) is not a password and will not be accepted here.

I'm wondering if you really read my post, or just replied after seeing the thread title.

That being said, I discovered that I had to run Syncback in Administrator mode. It works now.
