Can "Run After Profile" prevent shutdown?

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Can "Run After Profile" prevent shutdown?

Post by leishirsute »

If I enter a command to "Run after profile" and also have "Stop Windows from sleeping while this profile is running", will
the command run after the profile also prevent Windows from sleeping?

Hi, the "prevent sleeping" option only applies while the profile is running. So if you enabled the option "Wait until the program has finished before running the next profile or exiting" (in Programs->After) then it will stop sleep or hibernation (because the profile won't finish until after that program completes). However, if that option is not enabled, or you've set a maximum time limit to wait and the time limit is passed, then it won't stop sleep or hibernation because the profile will have completed (without waiting for the program to finish).

Thank you. This answers my question.
