Cannot set schedule-path issue

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Cannot set schedule-path issue

Post by dougcouch »

Misc. Info: (native) Windows 10 Home 64-bit laptop (fairly new)
Attempts to set schedule asks for password (there is none). When pressing Enter to continue, it says it cannot find the path, ending the attempt to schedule a profile. The path it is trying to find is invalid (different user name). In (all of) the backup profiles, it is a different (correct) path/user.

There is only one user on this computer (other than hidden Admin, etc.).

However, when the tech was transferring files from an older laptop (Staples), he made an assumption and named the first user Doug. I changed the user name to Diana. The Users\Doug user folder still exists, but does not have user files in it. All user files are under the Users\Diana folder; which is also the user/path used in the profiles. All the profiles work if I run them manually, but it won't let me schedule a group profile to run them. So wherever SyncBack is looking for the current user, it's getting incorrect information.

Any ideas? :(
The data on this pc is more critical to backup than any other data on any computer we have (is workshop, facilitator and participant tracking for nonprofit work).

Attached are 2 screenshots of File Explorer tree for the two user folders:

(note: the Users\Doug\AppData folders are empty)

Thanks for the assist. The second instruction (deleting the folder) did not apply; however, just deleting the key in regedit allowed the schedules to be setup. =D>
