SBF won't install on Windows 10 Home

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

SBF won't install on Windows 10 Home

Post by pelican1 »

Hi, I just downloaded SBF to use for a client for a one off sync. I tested on my Win 10 Pro x64 PC first and it works very well. Then I tried to install on the PC at my clients, a windows Home x64 PC. I get a message saying "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC check with your software publisher"
Any idea what this would be?
Thanks

Hi,

Was the SyncBackFree installer downloaded from the official 2BS website? http://www.2brightsparks.com/download-syncbackfree.html

There is a possibility that the SBF installer may have been blocked by Windows. Right-click on the install file and then select Properties from the pop-menu. In the properties form you may see an Unblock button which you'll have to click in order to unlock the file from being used.

Finally, if the Windows user that is being used to install the application is not a Windows admin account then you should try using an admin account.

Hope one of the above helps.

Thanks,
