Profile not refreshing after scheduled task successfully runs

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Profile not refreshing after scheduled task successfully runs

Post by willj »

I'm running SyncBackfree v7.6.50.0 on a Windows 10 64-bit PC

I have a profile which runs as a scheduled task, and which runs successfully both manually and as a scheduled task. However the Last Run, Next Run, Last Successful Run dates are not automatically updated against the profile after the scheduled task successfully runs.

Pressing F5 to refresh the profile successfully updates the dates to the correct values.

Not a major issue, simply annoying when checking that the profile has completed.

Thanks,

Will

Hi,

The problem is due to the new Windows 10 security changes. In Windows 10 a schedule task is run in session-0 which is different from the user logged-on session (unless the task is set to run only when logged on), thus it’s not possible for non-elevated processes like SyncBackFree to notify Last Run, Next Run information to other SyncBackFree instance running in a different session. Hence those columns were not updated automatically after the schedule task has been run. So you may have to press F5 to refresh the display.

However, if the schedule task was set to "Run only when user is logged on" then the display is refreshed automatically. Also, please note that SyncBackPro/SE does not have this problem as they are run elevated. If you want you can evaluate SyncBackSE/Pro, which we offer a free 30-day evaluation. You can download and install latest version from here:

If you do decide to purchase, the serial number will convert the 'trial' to the 'registered' version.

Thank you.
