Hello all,
I am using SyncBackFree to run daily backups of a local database folder to a dedicated backup SD card. I am wondering if it is possible to configure SyncBack to keep a set number of backup files, renaming them appropriately to avoid conflicts.
Currently, SyncBack overwrites the backup file each time the profile runs. I would like to keep the last 3 days of backup files, deleting the oldest one each time the profile runs. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks for your help!
Will

Re: Multiple Backup Files
Hi,
You can achieve this by using Versioning feature available in SyncBackSE/Pro or by adding a variable to your profile’s destination path. You can refer to this forum post for more details:
viewtopic.php?t=12576&p=47962#p47962
Also, please note that many variables available in SE/Pro version are not supported in SyncBackFree. Please read SyncBack help file > Technical References > Variables for the list of variables supported in SyncBackPro/SE/Free.
If you wish you can evaluate SyncBackSE/Pro, which we offer a free 30-day evaluation. You can download and install latest version of SyncBackSE/Pro from here:
https://www.2brightsparks.com/downloads.html
If you do decide to purchase, the serial number will convert the 'trial' to the 'registered' version.
Thank you.
