Can I suggest that The Destination Location is scanned before The Source Location?
I recently ran a Full Backup (some 500GiB) to an External HDD and after some 5+ minutes (scanning The Source Location) suffered a failure because the The Destination Location didn't exist
I had a USB Stick installed that took control of the Drive Letter usually used for my External HDD
If The Destination Location was scanned first I would have been immediately advised of the failure
