I am sorry but I am unable to backup using Syncback free, what am I doing wrong?
I have read "Backing up to a virtual drive using SyncBack Containers" by Author: Conrad Chung, 2BrightSparks Pte. Ltd. part of which is reproduced below.
From SyncBackSE/Pro V8, you can setup a profile to either use a SyncBack Container or VHD/VHDX files. Note that SyncBackFree/Lite can’t backup to SyncBack Containers. However, an external utility is included in all variants of SyncBack V8 (and newer) to mount a SyncBack Container for read-only access.
I want to backup to an external hard drive E: but am not allowed to do it, where do I go from here? Step by step instructions please.
John

Re: Syncback Free and Syncback Container
Hi, as it says in your quote from the SyncBack Containers article, SyncBackFree cannot support (create, write to, etc) a SyncBack Container, But as you say you want to use an external hard drive as your backup, it is not clear why you are mentioning SB Containers, unless you were planning to use an SB Container on an external drive, which is possible using SyncBackSE/Pro but not possible using SyncBackFree, as already discussed.
The possible resources you can use with SyncBackFree are,
