Hi again chaps.
If I "Pause All Profiles", they do pause, but in the Result column most are shown as running, with their button shown as paused. The ones that are shown as paused in the Result column have run buttons. Clicking any of the inline buttons does nothing other than toggle the button image.
So I have reverted back to V8.6.6.3

Sorry, I can't reproduce your issue with SyncBackFree (V9.0.4.1). When a profile is paused then 'Paused' status is shown in the Result column. Clicking on the Resume button (next to the profile name) resumes the profile execution.
Note the version of SyncBackFree you are using is outdated, so please test with the latest release version and see if it works? You can download and install V9 from here:

Do not uninstall and reinstall, or you'll lose your profiles & settings. Just install 'over the top'.
