Suncback does not copy some folders - why?

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Suncback does not copy some folders - why?

Post by Caesar »

Hi,

I'm running Syncback since they started many years ago and never had any problems (and I never updated). Since I had to go from Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro in the beginning of this year, I had to install the newer version of Syncback (9.3.17.0 - 32bit).
Yesterday I backed up my 5TB ext. HDD with new content of flac files to my PC (one folder called Flac and 6000 subfolders). I thought all went well and then made changes on my PC within the flac folder. Then I backed up that content from the PC to my ext. HDD. When I checked the log file afterwards I reali that content from the HDD was deleted because it was not copied in the first place to the PC.
How can this occur please? Is that content gone now forever which would be quite a big upset for me and one day's work to get that content ripped again or can I recover it?

I know I'm using the free version but I guess that same would occur with a paid version too?

Thank you kindly for any help.

Cheers

Sadly it is time to say Good Bye to Syncback. I found a more reliable program and will use that in the future.
