SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

The Profile name given does not exist (FFFFFF97

Post by DavidCSurrey »

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a backup of my Windows 10 C: drive to a networked location (Windows Active Directory domain network)

The destination folder only has write access from the Backup Account in order to prevent scam malware from getting to it.

The error shown FFFFFF97, seems to mean that the account which has been set to run the job is not the same account as the logged in user.

Well, no. It's not going to be!

I can see this being shown as the cause in the help docs, but I can't see any method explained to make this work.

Does anyone know? Or is it just not possible?

Also the software doesn't install itself with admin privileges so it fails on that count to, unless you tell it that.

Thanks!

The error you are seeing is most likely the error code from the Windows task scheduler. It means the name "of your profile" is incorrect". In the scheduler Action Program/script field it should be like "C:\Program Files (x86)\2BrightSparks\SyncBackFree\SyncBackFree.exe" and then in the Add Arguments field should be like -m "My Profile Daily".

If you run the profile direct in SyncBackFree without being scheduled does it work?
