Backup a cord connected smartphone

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Backup a cord connected smartphone

Post by asallwey »

I've been using SyncBack for some time now and really like it. I wanted to try to use it to back up pictures on my phone. I'm using v9.5 on Win 10 and the phone is android 10. I cannot see the phone when I try to create a profile. My SD card shows, as do my network 3 computers.

Is there a trick to get it to see the phone? The phone is plugged into a usb port and I can see it with Explorer. What am I missing??

Thanks!

As shown below I think you need SyncBackSE for Android OS.

SyncBackFree supported OSs are: Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista.

SyncBackSE Supported OSs: Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, Windows Server 2008 and newer, SyncBack Touch(within SyncBackSE) supports: macOS, Android, Linux & Windows.

Ok, I guess I missed that. I'll have to reconsider moving to SE.

Thanks!

An option you might want to consider is putting all you pictures on a SD card. I do this and SyncBackFree can access the SD card which is not mounted in an Android system and syncs fine. Be sure to Unmount the SD card in the phone before removing and connecting to your PC.
