Safety catch when deleting files

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Safety catch when deleting files

Post by A.M. »

Normally, I am running Syncback in mirror mode, and everything is fine, but every now and then I make a mistake (when working, I confuse location where I make changes between source on my conputer hard disc drive and destination on my portable disc), and some of the files are deleted that should not have been.
Usually, I can't find them all in recycle bin (either in computer hard disc, or in external hard disc).

Is there an option, or a SyncBack version that includes some safety catch for this situation? (for instance, when deleting files, also making copies in some specified location, or something similar to recycle bin).

Although only available in SyncBackSE and SyncBackPro, Versioning would allow what you want.

Yes, after investigation it seems versioning is what is needed.
After all, once on every couple hundreds of backups, some mistake is bound to happen, and there better be some cure for it.
