Does the freeware work with 4tb SSD drives?

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

There is no limit on disk sizes. As long as the Windows O/S can manage the drive, SyncBack should as well.
