computer not showing on network
I'm trying to sync files from a laptop to a desktop. both are on the same network. the desktop shows the laptop on the network, but when I use the option for network in syncback on the laptop the desktop does not show in the network all the correct options are checked in sharing. So I can pick the right folder, but not the left. any help would be appreciated

Re: computer not showing on network
Try rebooting the desktop. Windows has possibly screwed up the network connection password and usually a reboot will reconnect.

It sounds like you’re facing a visibility issue with SyncBack on the laptop. Make sure the desktop's sharing settings are correct, and both devices are in the same workgroup. If that doesn't work, try using the desktop’s IP address instead of its network name to connect.Lin222 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 1:34 amI'm trying to sync files from a laptop to a desktop. both are on the same network. the desktop shows the laptop on the network, but when I use the option for network in syncback on the laptop the desktop does not show in the network all the correct options are checked in sharing.
