compression fails

Post by William6 »

I've got two Windows 10 machines.
One has SyncBackPro, the other has SyncBack Touch.

If SyncBackPro is the source machine, and SyncBack Touch is the destination machine, and compression is turned on, then everything works fine.

If SyncBack Touch is the source machine, and SyncBackPro is the destination machine, and compression is turned on, then no files get copied.

Hi,

In SyncBackPro/SE if you select a non-standard resource (SyncBack Touch, FTP, Cloud, Compression, Encryption etc.,) on one side (Source/Destination) then you can only select standard resource (local drive or network path) on the other side this is by the internal design aspects. Therefore, if your Source is SyncBack Touch then you can't download files from Touch and store them as compressed and encrypted on destination.

You can refer to this KB article for more details:

Thank you.
